Joshua David Washington is a pianist, composer, arranger, producer, and singer-songwriter based in Stockton, CA. His musical influences are reflected in the various bands he has led and projects he has produced; from RnB/Alternative Soul to Folk/Bluegrass to Chamber Orchestra.

 

Joshua David has led bands that have opened for Grammy-Award-winning artists such as Anthony Hamilton and India Arie. He has led bands who have backed artists like Aubrey Logan, Alex Isley, and European artist, Jon Norris. He has also done live orchestra arrangements for Aubrey Logan, and artists from other parts of the world.

Along with all of these ventures, Joshua is a film score composer in the Mizrahi Project, a series of short documentaries about the oft forgotten Middle Eastern Jewish refugee community of the early 1900s.

 

Joshua is the director of the Zion Academy of Music, a K-12 music school his father and mother started in 1997, where he teaches piano and music theory. He also is the music director at the Congregation of Zion, a church his father pastors in Stockton.
